How to Change Language on Disney Plus

Every movie on Disney Plus comes in four languages, English, French, Spanish, and Dutch, with more options for Disney Plus originals, but each movie also comes with 16 language subtitles.

Once in a while, we want some spice and flair to movies, or perhaps you have a guest who speaks another language, and you want them to enjoy themselves; what better way to do so than changing your Disney Plus language?

2 Ways To Change Language On Disney Plus

Changing language on Disney Plus is easy, and the steps are the same on any device you use. Now, there are different ways to do this, and in this article, we’ll be showing two solid ways to do so. We’ll show you how to:

  • Change language within the movie
  • Change language through your profile

Let’s take it one by one.

1. How To Change Disney Plus Language Through Your Profile

  • Open the Disney Plus app on your smartphone or browse to the Disney Plus website and sign in to your account through a web browser.
  • Click on your Profile icon. Depending on the device you use, a mobile phone or PC, the location varies. It can be seen in the bottom right corner on mobile, while it is located at the top right corner for PCs.
  • From the list of options, after that, choose Edit Profile. If you have more than one profile attached to your account, select the profile you want to work on exactly.
  • Click on App Language. Choose the language you wish from the drop-down menu.

See how easy that was? Once you successfully change the language, the whole interface will be changed as well. So make sure you’re familiar with the language. Suppose you’re not, there’s no need to worry. Just change it back.

Let’s move to the next method!

2. How To Change Disney Plus Language Within A Movie or TV Show

This method allows you to change a particular movie’s audio language and subtitle language. Changing the language of a movie does not affect the whole app or website interface.

  • Again, open the app on your device or the Disney Plus website on a web browser and sign in to your account.
  • Search through and find the movie you’d like to watch in another language. Click on it to start playing.
  • Next, pause the movie and click on the Settings icon at the top right corner of your screen.
  • A page with two columns will come up, one for audio language options and the other for subtitle options. Select the language you want.
  • If you choose to change the language of the subtitles as well, select the language you prefer. If you don’t want it at all, click Off.

When you’re done, close the page and continue watching your movie in your preferred language.

So, that’s it! With these two methods, you can swiftly change your Disney Plus language any day and at any time. Note that if you have multiple profiles attached to one account, only the profile you worked on will be affected.

If you’d like to change the language settings for every profile attached to your Disney Plus account, you have to edit them individually. You might be interested in reading this article on 5 fixes for Disney Plus not working for more Disney Plus settings.
