How to Clear Cache on Your Samsung TV for Optimal Performance

Regular deleting of a device’s cache protects it from dangerous malware and improves performance. Though we clear cookies and cache in computer browsers and phones, we tend to forget this practice for our Samsung Smart TVs.

You would often experience a lack of memory on your Samsung smart tv if you fail to clear the cache regularly.

While performing the ‘Clear Cache’ you can also evaluate and delete the apps you don’t use. It will save considerable storage space on your Smart TV.

This article will provide a stepwise procedure for clearing the cache of your TV.

What is cache storage on your Smart TV?

Samsung Smart TV is a great choice considering its features and performance. All smart devices maintain a cache – a storage area for keeping temporary files, images, and other relevant information. It is helpful whenever you open the app since it will serve the data faster from the cache.

However, when the cache size increases, it might impact the speed and performance of the running apps. Therefore, it is always advisable to delete the device’s cache regularly for the smooth running of your Samsung Smart TV.

Why is Clearing Your TV Cache Vital?

  1. Yeah none of these work, most are greyed out and there is no clear cache button option or tab. My TV is therefore fucked …like owning a computer that turns on but can’t use any apps …what’s the point and it’s all of a year old

  2. I find that some options are “greyed out” only in certain circumstances e.g if I have a streaming app open the “update software” and “reset” are greyed out – BUT if I switch to DVD then both options are now available.

  3. Literally the only thing that worked (wasn’t greyed out on my new tv) was to turn off. Then hold power button 20 seconds. Yes, the tv comes back on but I kept holding. Then YouTube worked again and went past load screen.

  4. All apps work except for that aggravating Disney+! And I can’t delete the app! It’s like it gets in bedded and it says device cannot be deleted. But then I keep getting told I have to delete it to reinstall it.😡
