Smart TVs have afforded users the ability to do things reserved for PC and smartphones only a few years ago. However, not everyone can afford the cost of making an upgrade from their old TVs. For these people, getting a FireStick is the way to go.
As you use your device, there are times when you might see the FireStick stuck on Amazon Logo; don’t panic just yet, this article will walk you through some fixes to the problem.
How To Fix FireStick Stuck On Amazon Logo
The Amazon logo is what shows up on your screen when you startup your FireStick; getting stuck doesn’t happen often, but if it does, here are some fixes to try:
1. Wait It Out
Sometimes the FireStick getting stuck on Amazon Logo does not indicate anything wrong with the device. You might need to give the device some time to boot up; the amount of time you give could be anything from 30 minutes to leaving it on through the night. However, don’t do anything yet to fix the device when you haven’t given it time to boot up.
2. Check For Overheating and Give It A Rest
The position of your Firestick matters a lot; do not place it close to the vents of your TV. Also, make sure that nothing else around the FireStick could cause it to overheat because overheating will cause the device not to function properly.
If you suspect that overheating is the issue with the FireStick, unplug it from the TV and put it in a cool and ventilated place for 20-30 minutes. Even without overheating, if you’ve been using the FireStick for an extended period and you notice it stuck on the Amazon logo, unplug the device and let it “rest” a while.
3. Power Cycle The Device
Since the FireStick doesn’t have any power buttons, power cycling would involve you unplugging the device from the HDMI port, unplugging the power cable, leaving it for 10 seconds, and plugging everything back in.
4. Plug Into A Power Source
When you notice the FireStick stuck on the Amazon logo, check to make sure it is plugged in properly with the power adapter that came with the device.
Using a power adapter that does not match the power rating could also be an issue. If you lose your adapter, ensure you get a new one with a power rating of (5V/1A).
5. Plug The Device Directly Into The HDMI Port
To prevent your FireStick from getting stuck on the Amazon screen, plug the device directly into the HDMI port of your TV. Eliminate the use of an adapter, hub, extender, or splitter; the extender that came with your device should cause no issues, but for the sake of troubleshooting, avoid using that too.
6. Ensure Your TV Is HDCP-Compliant
To protect content streamed using the FireStick, the device only works well on HDCP-Compliant TVs. So if you notice your FireStick stuck on the Amazon logo, check your TV user manual or contact the manufacturer to find out if the TV is HDCP-Compliant.

7. Switch HDMI Port Or TV
The HDMI port into which you plugged your FireStick might also cause the device to get stuck on the Amazon logo. The port might be faulty or doesn’t support the picture quality that the device is trying to output.
If you’re using a TV with multiple HDMI ports, try switching to a different port; also, try unplugging other HDMI devices while you try this.
The TV you’re using might also be an issue, especially if you’re using a FireStick model that gives a 4K output; if your TV doesn’t have 4K capability, you could run into errors. Try connecting your device to a different TV and see if it works.
8. Factory Reset The Device
When you’ve run out of options, resetting the device might be the best bet. Usually, you would need the device UI to reset the device, but thankfully there’s another way to go about it, and this is through the remote.
Using a remote paired to the FireStick, press and hold the right and back buttons simultaneously for at least 10 seconds and follow the instructions to complete the process.
