Sound Bars are designed to give support to television when it comes to sound. Vizio soundbar, among others, is no doubt one of the best you would come across. It provides a quality audio output, top premium bass response, and eliminates poor audio output associated with built-in speakers.

Since the soundbar is an external sound system that works independently, there is a need to connect it to the television before it can be used. Vizio sound bars have diverse models.

How to Connect Vizio Soundbar to Tv

1. Connect Vizio Soundbar to Tv With Bluetooth

Step One

Open the Vizio soundbar. Remove it from the original packaging. Once it has been removed, ensure that you check if all necessary accessories are in it, like the screws, manual, mounts, cables, etc.

Step Two

Plug the Vizio soundbar into the main power source and turn it on. Once it is on, click and hold the Bluetooth button on the soundbar. Doing this will automatically put the Soundbar in paring mode while it searches for available networks. You must ensure that your television Bluetooth is on so the Soundbar can easily find and pair with it.

Step Three

Use the television Bluetooth settings to pair with the soundbar. If your television’s Bluetooth is on and put on discoverable, you will get a notification on your television when the Soundbar finds the television Bluetooth. All you need to do is confirm if it is the right Bluetooth before you connect with it.

Step Four

If everything is done the right way, the Vizio soundbar should be connected to the television. Confirm this by using the television and paying attention to the sound output. Sound good? Great!

2. Connect Vizio Soundbar to Tv with SPDIF Cable

Step One

Open the Vizio soundbar. Remove it from the original packaging. Once it has been removed, ensure that you check if all necessary accessories are in it like the screws, manual, mounts, cables, and others.

Step Two

Remove the SPDIF cable from its packaging. Remove the protective gear that is on each end of the cable. This will allow you to plug each end to the Vizio soundbar and Television respectively.

Step Three

Connect each end of the cable to the Soundbar and Television. At the back of the soundbar and Television, you will find the port made for the SPDIF Cable. It is dubbed ‘Optical’ port. Connect one end to the soundbar and the other end to the television.

Step Four

Plug the soundbar to power and turn it on. Use the soundbar power cable to connect to a power source before you turn it on.

Step Five

Connect the soundbar to the television. Use the television remote to select the connection type. Click on Optical, Toslink, or SPDIF.

Step Six

Set-up the soundbar. Click on the menu bar on the Vizio soundbar remote and options will be displayed on the television screen. Click on Audio another option will pop up, locate TV Speakers and turn them off. This is to eliminate interference from the television speakers when the Soundbar is in use.

Once that is done, change the Digital Audio Out settings. You can change it to Bitstream or Dolby Digital for effective sound output.

3. Connect Vizio Soundbar to Tv with RCA Cable

Step One

Open the Vizio soundbar. Remove it from the original packaging. Once it has been removed, ensure that you check if all necessary accessories are in it like the screws, manual, mounts, cables, and others.

Step Two

The RCA cable is the famous red and white cable but certainly comes in other colors these days. Connect one end of the white and red cable to the back of the Soundbar. Locate the point of connection at the back of the Soundbar, it is dubbed Audio out.

Similarly, connect the other end of the white and red cable to the television.

Step Three

Plug the soundbar to power and turn it on. Use the soundbar power cable to connect to a power source before you turn it on.

Step Four

Connect the soundbar to the television. Use the television remote to select the connection type. Click on AUX.

Step Five

Set-up the soundbar. Click on the menu bar on the Vizio soundbar remote and options will be displayed on the television screen. Click on Audio, another option will pop up, locate TV Speakers and turn them off. This is to eliminate interference from the television speakers when the Soundbar is in use.

Step One

Step Two

Find the HDMI Arc cable in the pack of the Vizio soundbar. Connect one end of the cable to the HDMI Out Arc on the soundbar and connect the end of the cable to your television. The cable will allow the Television to send the sound signals to the soundbar for transmission.

Plug the soundbar to power and turn it on. Use the soundbar power cable to connect to a power source before you turn it on.
